Song Post

I chose the song "The Suburbs" by Arcade Fire. It's actually something we analyzed in depth in my English class. While the song may sound somewhat bright and happy, when you delve into it you come up with three significantly darker themes: isolation, uniformity in society, and finally, a transition to escape. For isolation I used a simple black and white shot. It's hard to explain, but I really feels the image captures the emotion. For uniformity I chose one of my old quadtychs, in which I used four very similar images to form a collage. For escape I chose a picture of Carlos running toward's light, though I kept it as a dyptych to stay true to the song's major theme of uniformity in society. The shots are in the order that they are described.
