Depth

Our most recent photography project was called depth. In this we took pictures of leading lines, repetition, and foreground-background. A leading line is when you take a picture that makes it look as if a line is leading you somewhere. Repetition is fairly self-explanatory, just the repeating of objects or shapes in a photo. Foreground-background is a picture of two objects; one close, one far away. I focused on using unique angles for my photos, such as up close and down low shots. This created an interesting variety of pictures. I also decided to use some new editing techniques. Usually I edit mostly for exposure, creating a realistic look. This time, I focused on contrast and saturating the colors, creating a brighter and more vivid style. Hope you enjoy!

City Scapes

Our most recent project was called city scape. During this we scoured the neighborhood for contrasting shapes and sizes. We needed pictures of triangles, circles, squares, and combinations of the two separate shapes. All pictures were shot in black and white. I mostly focused on taking close up pictures of certain objects. I used all different kinds of angles in shooting, and once I was in the editing stage; I mostly darkened pictures to sharpen the quality of them.

Motion Pictures

This set of pictures was taken during an exercise focusing on motion. All of the below pictures could be described as "light sculptures." We blacked out the entire room, and then designated one person to use a small pen flashlight. You then turn your camera's shutter speed setting a long way's down. Finally, the person holding the light moves a few feet away from you and waves it around in any pattern you want. The result are the below pictures. It creates an interesting contrast.
