Minimalism Series Project Draft Two

Here's the second draft of my series project on Minimalism. I continued to focus on keeping things simple, hence the topic of my project, but also produce some variety in my subjects and backgrounds. I also shot some at night.

  1. Great photos! I especially like the photo that is against the brick wall, as well as your first photo. I think you've captured your goal of a minimalist take, very well. I really appreciate the variety you use in each series.

  2. This is a great second draft on minimalism, Eric. I really like how although you focus on simplicity, you are still able to portray various patterns and textures. I think for your third draft it would be stronger if your series is more cohesive because it seems like you have contrasting ideas in this project.

  3. I think your form of minimalism is most successful when the image has obvious juxtaposition, like the first and last photos. It lends mystery and complexity to a simple motive.

  4. These are really simple but I could spend a long time looking at each photo. I like the the textures you captured in the brick and wood and the lines in each one are minimalistic but effective.
